Vicki L. Smith

Vicki L Smith, a founding member of the team dedicated to bringing a Challenger Learning Center to Indiana County.    My passion is providing the students of my community and county with a quality education equal to students in more affluent areas of Pennsylvania.  For the past twenty years, I have proudly served as a member of the Homer-Center School District Board of Directors, sixteen of those years as President.  I also serve as Homer-Center’s representative on the Indiana County Technology Center board of Directors, having served as the Chairperson of the board for the past eighteen years.  As a graduate of Butler High School and Indiana University of Pennsylvania, I understand the value of public education and its correlation to building and sustaining strong communities.  I reside in Indiana County, Pa., with my husband of 40 years, and am fortunate that two of my three children live and work in our small community.  My professional career spans work as a paralegal to my current position as a senior land analyst for CNX Resources, LLC.
